Evolución de la crítica cinematográfica en España

Abstract

En este trabajo repasamos la evolución de la crítica cinematográfica española desde sus orígenes hasta su adaptación a los medios tecnológicos actuales. Durante años la crítica se ha visto afectada por los cambios sociales y culturales en España y procedemos a investigar cada una de estas épocas con el objetivo de descubrir cuales han sido los puntos de inflexión para el género. Para ello, recorremos los años republicanos en los que aparece el cinematógrafo y las primeras críticas por parte de académicos hasta la Guerra Civil, en la que se congela el género debido al conflicto. Sería ya en plena dictadura franquista, donde los avances tecnológicos y los cambios sociales afectarían directamente al género periodístico, aunque evolucionaría a lo largo de los años. La transición democrática cambiaría el espectro de la crítica dando paso a la libertad de expresión y los primeros años de crecimiento de la industria. Por último, la llegada de las nuevas tecnologías y la adaptación de los críticos cinematográficos a la globalización afectará sobremanera al género dando paso a conclusiones y nuevas vertientes que cambiarán la forma de conocer la crítica en España y en el resto del mundo.

In this work we review the evolution of Spanish film criticism from its origins to its adaptation to current technological media. For years, criticism has been affected by social and cultural changes in Spain and we proceed to investigate each of these periods with the aim of discovering what the turning points for the genre have been. To do this, we go through the republican years in which cinematography appeared and the first criticisms by academics until the Civil War, in which the genre was frozen due to the conflict. It would already be during the Franco dictatorship, where technolo gical advances and social changes would directly affect the journalistic genre, although it would evolve over the years. The democratic transition would change the spectrum of criticism, giving way to freedom of expression and the first years of growth of the industry. Finally, the arrival of new technologies and the adaptation of film critics to globalization will greatly affect the genre, giving rise to conclusions and new aspects that will change the way of knowing criticism in Spain and in the rest of the world.
