Efectos y beneficios de la fisioterapia en niños con autismo, una revisión bibliográfica

Abstract

Esta revisión se centra en conocer los beneficios de la fisioterapia en niños con autismo, mediante la recopilación de estudios e investigaciones que defiendan los efectos favorables de la fisioterapia en esta población, bajo una base sólida de evidencia científica. Para ello, durante el desarrollo de esta revisión se muestran intervenciones efectivas para el tratamiento de los niños autistas; examinando los enfoques terapéuticos empleados, protocolos de tratamiento y resultados obtenidos. Así mismo, se ofrece una visión general de las evidencias existentes y que intervenciones son las mas adecuadas en cuanto a establecer metas terapéuticas realistas y evaluar el progreso de los pacientes durante el tratamiento. Llegando a la conclusión, se encontró la limitante de la falta de investigación que hay en este ámbito.

This review focuses on the benefits of physical therapy in children with autism, through the compilation of studies and research that defend the favorable effects of physical therapy in this population, under a solid base of scientific evidence. For this purpose, during the development of this review, effective interventions for the treatment of autistic children are shown; examining the therapeutic approaches used, treatment protocols and results obtained. Likewise, an overview of the existing evidence and which interventions are the most appropriate in terms of establishing realistic therapeutic goals and evaluating the progress of patients during treatment is offered. In conclusion, we found the limitation of the lack of research in this field.
