Propiedades Psicométricas del Child’s Report of Parental Behavior Inventory: Una Revisión Sistemática

Abstract

Los estilos de crianza han supuesto el problema antecedente de muchos estudios de psicología familiar. La forma de transmitir estos estilos y mantenerlos fue el inicio de la idea principal de este trabajo. El propósito de este trabajo fue realizar una revisión sistemática de los estudios que han evaluado o validado las propiedades psicométricas del cuestionario de evaluación de los estilos parentales, el Child’s Report of Parental Behavior Inventory (CRPBI), sin restricción de población. Se realizó una búsqueda exhaustiva en la base de datos Web of Science y adicionalmente se revisaron las referencias de los artículos recuperados. En total, se obtuvieron 11 estudios en los que se examinó el análisis factorial psicométrico del CRPBI. Los resultados arrojaron que todas las investigaciones carecieron de datos consistentes para evaluar la fiabilidad y validez. En general, los estudios apoyan una revisión y creación de una nueva estructura más parsimoniosa y consistente del CRPBI debido a las limitaciones encontradas. En conclusión, se comprueba que la consistencia interna del CRPBI no es aceptable por la escasa información aportada y por tanto, futuras investigaciones deben profundizar en este aspecto.

Parenting styles have been the antecedent problema of many studies in Family Psychology. The way of transmitting these styles and maintaining them was the beginning of the main idea of this task. The purpose of this project was to conduct a systematic review of studies that have evaluated or validated the psychometric properties of the parenting styles assessment questionnaire, the Child’s Report of Parental Behavior Inventory (CRPBI), without population restriction. An exhaustive search was conducted in the Web of Science database and the references of the retrieved articles were additionally reviewed. In total, 11 studies were obtained in which the psychometric factor analysis of the CRPBI was examined. The results showed that all investigations lacked consistent data to assess reliability and validity. Overall, the studies support a revision and creation of a new, more parsimonious and consistent structure of the CRPBI due to the limitations found. In conclusion, it was found that the internal consistency of the CRPBI is not aceptable due to the scarce information provided and therefore, future research should delve deeper into this aspect.
