El periodista en el cine de Hollywood

Abstract

El presente trabajo busca establecer un recorrido cronológico por la representación del periodista en el cine de Hollywood, a través de una selección de 20 películas emblemáticas, con el objetivo de averiguar si la imagen del reportero presentada en el cine es un reflejo fiel de la realidad del oficio o producto de la ficción cinematográfica. Para su ejecución se estudiarán elementos referentes a la construcción de la ficción, la creación del personaje, sus atributos, estereotipos más recurrentes y el dilema ético en el oficio periodístico, entre otras cuestiones.

The present work seeks to establish a chronological journey through the representation of the journalistic profession in Hollywood cinema, through a selection of 20 emblematic films, with the aim of finding out if the image of the reporter presented in the cinema is a faithful reflection of the reality of the craft or product of cinematographic fiction. For its execution, elements of reference to the construction of fiction, the creation of the character, its attributes, most recurring stereotypes and the ethical dilemma in the journalistic profession, among other issues, will be studied.
