Violence against women emerges as a public health problem that can take many forms, including sexual violence. The tendency to perpetrate sexual violence may be predisposed by multiple factors, one of the most important is the acceptance of the myths associated with it. These myths refer to beliefs used to deny or justify sexually aggressive acts towards women. The aim of the present research is, considering personality (specifically the Dark Tetrad traits) and pornography use, to identify different profiles, and compare them attending to the acceptance of these myths, according to personality, specifically the Dark Tetrad, and the consumption of pornography. With this objective, 598 participants completed a survey assessing Dark Personality traits (i.e., narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy, and sadism), pornography consumption, and acceptance of modern sexual aggression myths. Latent profile analyses (LPA) were conducted to examine the interactions between personality and pornography consumption in order to distinguish different population profiles. Three distinct profiles were obtained, which showed important differences in terms of acceptance of sexual assault myths. The profile with the highest scores on the acceptance of these myths was congruently the one with the highest scores on dark personality and pornography consumption. This profile —the most problematic one— was also the least numerous, representing 9.2% of the sample. The implications of these results for future prevention programs are discussed.
