The victory of the rebellious side brought General Francisco Franco to power, who established a dictatorial regime (commonly known as Francoism), where revenge and bloody repression were the order of the day, which together, among others, with the damage caused by the war, led the Spanish population to misery. In addition, the international movements in opposition to the dictatorial regimes that appeared throughout the world, together with the Second World War, contributed in an essential way to the emergence of armed opposition movements, which often led to terrorist acts. The present work aims to know the historical, political and social factors that led to the Civil War of 1936, and with it the advent of Francoism, in order to try to clarify the process through which the various armed opposition movements arose totalitarian regime, which culminated in the birth of several terrorist organizations, among which was the DRIL. To achieve this, a systematic and exhaustive review of various sources has been carried out, among others: doctoral theses, research papers, specialized books, documentaries, historical archives, consultation of web pages with scientific content on the subject, as well as news and articles appeared in digital press.
