Análisis de la evolución del sellado del suelo en el área metropolitana de Alicante en relación al riesgo de inundación

Abstract

El área metropolitana de Alicante se extiende a lo largo de una franja costera atravesada por múltiples barrancos que, a lo largo de la historia, han provocado severas inundaciones. Para hacer frente a este riesgo natural se han construido diversas infraestructuras de control hidráulico, si bien todavía hay múltiples áreas con un riesgo de inundación elevado. En este estudio se emplearán Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG) para hacer un inventario de las infraestructuras existentes de control de inundaciones y analizar la evolución temporal de ocupación del territorio en relación a las áreas más susceptibles de inundación y el volumen de precipitación en cada subcuenca.

The metropolitan area of Alicante extends along a coastal strip crossed by multiple ravines, which throughout history have caused severe flooding. To cope with this natural risk, various hydraulic control infrastructures have been built, although there are still multiple areas with a high flood risk. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) will be used in this study to make an inventory of the existing flood control infrastructures and to analyse the temporal evolution of occupation of the territory in relation to the most susceptible areas to flooding and the volume of precipitation in each sub-basin.
