Gender inequality continues to be a social, structural and labor problem affecting women. With a view to the latter, it should be noted that women continue to be affected by the glass ceiling, temporary and partial contracts. Companies as a whole play a very important role, and in their areas there are certain discriminatory situations such as the difficult access of women to high-ranking positions, or the difficulty of reconciling work and family life that affects them in most cases. The work environment, therefore, is not exempt from this problem, which is why its prevention and consequent eradication must be a priority for the public authorities (Bermejo, 2022). To this end, regulations have been implemented with the aim of getting companies to implement tools to smooth out these inequalities, trying to create a safe and egalitarian work environment. Some of these tools are the equality plans and the equality badge, the former will be analyzed in the Spanish banking sector of some entities in particular (Sabadell and CaixaBank) to evaluate their social commitment in comparison with the legislative requirement on their content in this regard; regarding the badges, the study will deal with why these entities have achieved them and what outstanding merits they have in this regard. With all this information, the aim is to make an approximation to reality, verifying whether the achievements assumed in this sector in equality policies have been reflected in reality.
