Fibromyalgia is a chronic musculoskeletal disease that significantly affects the quality of life of those suffering from it ; in fact, it is considered the rheumatic disease having the largest impact on it. Different studies reveal the high prevalence of fibromyalgia, being in Spain 2.4% and in the Regional Government of Valencia 3.7%. Its symptomatology is directly related to changes in the emotional condition and to disorders in the relational and professional field ; moreover, it has large influence on mental health. Therefore, the general objective of this project is to design an intervention program based on a holistic and multidimensional perspective based on family systems therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy, providing an innovative approach to psychological intervention. The programme includes 8 sessions for 10 women with fibromyalgia in the towns of Alcoy and Alicante. This is intended to improve the quality of life and well-being of women with fibromyalgia participating in the program, improving their ability to cope with the disease, based on this parameters: Coping Capacities, Perceived Social Support, Life Satisfaction and Self-Esteem.
