In childhood, a secure attachment between caregiver-child must be maintained, hence the physical-emo-tional closeness is formed, which guarantees an effective psychosocial bond. The objective is to analyze the relationship between adult attachment factors and their influence on couple relationships in adults from Coahuila and Tamaulipas. Methodology: The design was quantitative, non-experimental, descrip-tive, cross-sectional, with a sample of 61 people, from the city of Saltillo, Monclova, Piedras Negras, Acuña, Coahuila and Tampico, Tamaulipas. The Adult Attachment Questionnaire was applied. Results: A statistically significant positive correlation was found between Hostile Conflict Resolution and Low Self-esteem (rho = .639, p = .000), as well as between the latter and Emotional Self-sufficiency (rho = .576, p = .492). There was a statistically significant moderate positive correlation between Expression of Feelings and Low Self-esteem (rho = .325, p = .010). Likewise, a significant moderate correlation was found between the items “I have confidence in myself” and “I prefer stable relationships to sporadic” (rho = .365, p = .004). Conclusions: The study of attachment in the adult population can be an indicator of the quality and dynamics of couple relationships, based on the feelings of security and well-being that will guide their future choices
