COVID-19 is a disease that affects different organs at the same time. It holds complexity that rises on the critical inpatient, which implies several technical and pharmacological interventions. Therefore having its own complications and complications caused by those same interventions. Both of them can contribute to the high mortality of this patients. The aim of this research protocol is to describe the non-infectious complications. Objective: To describe the non infectious complications (such as barothrauma, cardiovascular disease, stroke..): - To analyze the risk factors for the development of such complications. - To correlate comorbidity measure with the Charlson index and the development of non infectious complications. - To find out the relationship between these complications and ICU mortality rate. - To determine the relationship between these complications and mean length of stay.Design of study: Retrospective cohort observational study based on a prospective database of all the patients that consecutively are hospitalized in the ICU with COVID-19 diagnosis on the period between March 2020 to October 2021 (19 months) Subjects: Every adult with hypoxemia related with COVID19 pneumonia in the H. Morales Meseguer (Murcia) ICU, from March 2020 to October 2021. Main variables: Complications prevalence, Charlson comorbidity index, risk factor prevalence (Blood Pressure, Diabetes…); Mortality and mean length of stay. Planned analysis: Prevalence of complications, relationship between complications and risk factors; association between mortality and complications: Descriptive analysis, binary and logistic regression.
