The COVID-19 pandemic has a massive impact on nursing homes and their workers, on a physical and psychological level, impacting Burnout, Satisfaction with Life, Stress, Anxiety and Posttraumatic Stress. The aim of this study was the comparison between these variables in two groups: a group of 29 workers of a nursing home with a high number of deaths during the COVID-19 crisis and a group of 16 workers of a nursing home with few deaths. A non-experimental descriptive design was used and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS), Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and the Davidson Trauma Scale (DTS) were used to measure variables. Significant differences were found in Burnout, Stress, Anxiety and Posttraumatic Stress levels, but not in Satisfaction with life levels. Significant and positive correlations were found between the variables, except between Satisfaction with life, Anxiety, and Stress which were negative. In conclusion, workers of nursing homes that were most affected by COVID-19 have a higher risk of presenting high Burnout, Stress, Anxiety and Posttraumatic Stress levels.
