The arrival of the internet led to the appearance of different platforms focused on connecting us at first. However, with the passage of time the main objective of these has taken a second place and there are many companies that are behind to get an economic profit from the web pages and the social networks.
In this sense, the televisions have also wanted to take their piece of the cake opening accounts on the main networks. With this, they have managed to forge a synergy between the traditional media and the new platforms that are making their way into society. This has meant that many companies no longer advertise in the reserved spaces on televisions or in the paper press because they know that the real business is on the internet and, mainly, on social networks, since the range is wider and achieves be segmented according to the type of audience they want to reach.
For this reason, this research aims to give visibility to what social networks have meant within the main Spanish public, private and regional television channels because, although many professionals in the sector do not want to see it, the platforms already established, and those that there are still to come, have come to stay
