Abstract:
Introduction: Tension-Type Headache is the most common headache worldwide and it is characterised by mild to moderate pain, tenderness and stiffness of the pericraneal muscles, photophobia and phonophobia. Neural Mobilisation consists on clinically applying the mechanics and phisiology of the Nervous System and its association with the musculoskeletal system. It is mostly used to restore Nervous System normal mechanical and phisiological responses.
Methods: Through this proyect, basis for the execution of a Case-Control study to check whether using Neural Mobilization to adress and treat patients undergoing Tension-Type Headache is effective to improve hiperalgesia, pain, quality of life and headache impact are stablished. Hospital Universitario del Vinalopó would be the place requested for carrying out the study with a sample of 312 individuals within four groups, Group A as control group, Group B as Suboccipital Inhibition group, Group C as Neural Mobilisation group and Group D as Suboccipital Inhibition and Neural Mobilisation group. It is forseen for the study to last 30 weeks at least.
Conclusion: carrying out this project would aim to determine the efficacy of applying neurodynamic techniques on patients suffering from Tension-Type Headache
