El lenguaje racista en los medios de comunicación españoles

Abstract

Hoy en día los medios de comunicación juegan un papel muy importante en la sociedad, no solo es el de informar, sino también el de formar una opinión pública, libre y plural. En el caso de este trabajo se analizará la opinión que se forma en la sociedad sobre los inmigrantes y el racismo a través de los medios. Casi todos los medios tienen un libro de estilo el cual seguir para que las noticias sean respetuosas, es decir, unas normas éticas para ejercer un periodismo profesional. El problema es que la mayoría de los medios se olvidan muchas veces de estas recomendaciones escribiendo en sus noticas todo lo contrario a lo establecido. En esta investigación se analizarán dos medios en su versión web, RTVE y El Mundo, donde se comprobará si siguen las pautas en sus libros de estilo sobre cómo escribir cuando se habla de inmigrantes o noticias que les incumbe, si es necesario o no mencionar la nacionalidad de la persona protagonista en la noticia, sobre todo en una información de sucesos, o por el contrario han faltado a la ética profesional periodística. Mencionar el origen no es el único problema, también hay ciertas expresiones incorrectas a la hora de hablar de inmigrantes. Frases normalizadas en la sociedad y que crea racismo en todas aquellas personas que leen las noticias. Los medios de comunicación impulsan inconscientemente racismo hacia los inmigrantes a través de la forma en la que se redactan las noticias, las palabras que creen que son las adecuadas porque están normalizadas acaban formando una alarma social errónea de miedo e invasión hacia nuestra población, hacia los españoles. El caso de Ana Julia Quezada, la asesina confesa de Gabriel, suscitó un gran interés en la sociedad española siendo la noticia que abría los informativos día tras día y que siguió teniendo hueco en las noticas durante semanas. El morbo y el sensacionalismo que crearon los medios de comunicación llegó al punto de que se acusó a esta mujer de asesina por el hecho de ser de otra nacionalidad y sobre todo por su color de piel. Por suerte, no todos los medios actuaron sin ética respecto a este tema, algunos periodistas hicieron columnas de opinión expresando su descontento con lo que estaba pasando en los medios de comunicación a la hora de informar sobre este caso y denunciando que no se le acusara a Ana Julia por su color de piel o su nacionalidad, porque nacer en un país o en otro o tener la piel con más o menos melanina no tienen ninguna relación con ser una asesina, que aunque lo haya hecho, ese no es el motivo, sino otros, y que por lo tanto no se debe de juzgar a todos los dominicanos por un acto que ha cometido una mujer nacida allí.

Nowadays, the Media got an important role in society, not only in information, also in creates a public, free and plural opinion. In this dissertation will analyse the opinion that Medias create in our society about the immigration and racism. Not all media got a style book to follow so that the new is respectful, that is to say, an ethical rules to make a professional journalism. The problem is the majority of Media forget about this consideration many times, writing in their news the opposite which is stated. In this research will analyse two web medias, RTVE and El Mundo, that it will prove if they follow the steps which are stated in their style books about how they have to communicate when they speak about immigration or other news which behove it, if it is necessary, or it is not necessary, the mention of the nationality person in the new, especially in a incident new, or on the contrary, they have been failing in journalistic professional ethics. Not only is the problem about the mention of the person who makes a crime, there are certain incorrect expressions, when talking about immigrants, which are incorrect as well. Normalized phrases create racism in each person who read the new. The media boost racism unconsciously toward immigrants through the way which the new is typed; Media believe that the words, which are typed, are appropriate because they are normalized, although they end up creating an erroneous social alarm of fear and invasion towards our population, towards the Spanish person. The case of the murder Ana Julia Quesada created a huge interest in our Spanish society; being the new that opened programs new and it kept on the new during a while. The morbid and the sensationalism that Medias created, it got a point that accused to this women of murder for the fact of being of other nationality and especially for her skin colour. Fortunately, not all Medias acted without ethic about this topic, some journalists made opinion column expressing their discontent about what it was happening in Medias at the time of communicate about this case and reporting that Ana Julia should not be accused for her skin colour or her nationality, because be born in a country or in another, or got the skin with more or less melanin, it does not got any relation to being a murder, although she had made it, that is not the reason, if not another, therefore all Dominicans people should not judge for a fact that a woman, who was born there, had made.
