In this computerized era, we find a great amount of information that sometimes, does not give time to corroborate and verify the level of veracity of this one. This causes that some journalists take advantage of this situation, even winning prizes based on their deceptions. The Reuters Institute of Oxford University launches its annual report on the media. The most recent study was from last year (2016), and it showed that only 34% of Spanish people rely on the news published in the media. The report only analyzed 12 countries: the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Brazil, Japan and Australia. And below Spain, we have found the United States, with a 32% credibility. For this reason, we will use this final degree project to conduct an analysis of the most striking false cases of the written press in the United States. The development of the work would be ordering chronologically the cases of journalistic fraud, describing them in a simple way and schematizing them according to the way in which they were discovered to be false. In addition, depending on the scope of development, we could find a common pattern. In this way, we could extrapolate the American situation to the Spanish through some cases like: Enrique Marco, Anna Allen and Fernando Blanco (Nadia Nerea).
