‘Frutos del Tiempo’ en el panorama cultural ilicitano (1986-2017)

Abstract

A causa de la actual crisis que sucede en España, la cultura está siendo azotada por la subida de impuestos, generando grandes pérdidas en todos los sectores que recoge. Las ciudades hacen acopio de todos sus recursos para que dar a conocer la cultura que les caracteriza. En concreto, Elche es reconocida por El Misteri d’Elx, patrimonio de la humanidad; también se sabe de los monumentos ibero-romanos y árabes que han perdurado hasta ahora. Pero la verdadera cultura no se ha dado a conocer. La literatura, el arte, la música y el teatro han quedado en segundo plano a lo largo de los años, siendo los sectores más castigados de la cultura ilicitana. A raíz de esto, el estado proporciona pocas subvenciones, impidiendo que se pueda hacer actividades para dar a conocer lo que tiene Elche. Por suerte, hay colectivos que promueven la cultura a pesar de la mala situación. ‘Frutos del Tiempo’ es una asociación cultural sin ánimo de lucro de gran relevancia en Elche ya que, desde los años noventa, ha estado fomentando este tipo de cultura. Desde el comienzo, sus funciones han abarcado desde la realización de eventos culturales hasta la labor editorial con la publicación de obras de diverso género. La asociación cuenta con miembros de cierta talla dentro del ámbito literario ilicitano que también han publicado obras fuera del colectivo. Además, han realizado trabajos monográficos de temas literarios que superan lo local y se adentran en ámbitos nacionales o internacionales, alcanzando con ello cierto renombre. A lo largo de treinta años, ‘Frutos del Tiempo’ ha formado parte de la vida literaria de muchos autores, dándoles la oportunidad de ser visibles para editoriales españolas.

In the light of the current crisis in Spain, the culture is being scourged by the tax increase, generating large losses in all the sectors it collects. The cities gather all their resources to make known the culture that characterizes them. In particular, Elche is recognized by El Misteri d'Elx, patrimony of humanity; also known of the iberian-roman and arab monuments that have lasted until now. But the good culture hasn’t been made known. Literature, art, music and theater have been in the background throughout the years that are the most punished sectors of the culture of Elche. As a result of this, the state provides few subsidies, preventing that activities can be done to make known what has Elche. Luckily, there are collectives that promote culture in spite of the bad situation. 'Frutos del Tiempo' is a non-profit cultural association of great importance in Elche, since the nineties, it has been fomenting this type of culture. From the beginning, its functions have ranged from the accomplishment of cultural events to the publishing work with the publication of works of diverse genre. The association has members of some size within the literary field of Elche that have also published works outside the collective. In addition, they have carried out monographic works of literary subjects that surpass the local one and penetrate in national or international domains, obtaining with that a certain reputation. Throughout thirty years, 'Frutos del Tiempo’ has been part of the literary life of many authors, giving them the opportunity to be visible to Spanish publishers.
