The development of a child born with visual impairment or blindness has certain differences compared to the development of a child without this difficulty. The quality of life of a child with visual impairment or blindness will depend, to a large extent, on their emotional state. The emotional state is regulated by the individual aspects of the child's personality and, to a greater extent, by the primary social relations (family, school and the rest of society). This literature review aims to verify the inclusion of the emotional aspect in intervention programs aimed at children from 0 to 6 years of age with severe visual impairment or blindness. For this purpose, in the first place, a collection of information provided by recent research articles on this topic has been carried out. A series of current intervention programs have been selected and found to meet the requirements set by the research. Finally, it has been verified that these programs have taken into account the inclusion of the emotional aspect in their intervention.
