The objective of this study was to determine the extent to which the behavior of peer violence, both traditional and cybernetic, and victimization, both traditional and cybernetic, predict certain indices of psychological maladjustment in adolescence, such as: self-concept, satisfaction with life, empathy, emotional intelligence, loneliness, depressive symptomatology, perceived stress and social anxiety. A sample of 1318 Spanish adolescents of Compulsory Secondary Education, aged between 11 and 18 years, was used. The results have shown that, broadly speaking, victims show, in general, a greater imbalance in most of the analyzed indices. All the victims show a decrease in the four dimensions of autonomy, the aggressors present a more negative image regarding the family, academic and social self-concept. The results related to the empathic capacity showed significant OR values in both types of aggressors, who showed lower levels both in the emotional dimension and in the cognitive dimension of the empathy. The four analyzed roles seem to suffer as a consequence, either of their aggressive behavior, or of their situation of harassment, an increase in their feeling of loneliness, of depressive symptomatology and stress, as well as a decrease in their overall life satisfaction. Regarding the variable emotional intelligence, the victims, in general, show a worsening in all dimensions of this construct, the traditional aggressors showed a worsening in the emotional regulation dimension and the cybernetic aggressors did not show a worsening in any dimension of emotional intelligence.
