Hamstring injuries are one of the main causes of time lost from football, particularly during high-intensity sprinting, which highlights the need to investigate further the relationship between hamstring mobility and lumbopelvic control. The aim of this study was to describe the angular and lumbar pressure changes observed during a static and a dynamic hamstring mobility test, performed with and without lumbopelvic restriction, in a university footballer. During a single assessment session, the participant’s descriptive variables were recorded, a standardised warm-up was carried out, and the Static Jurdan Test (SJT) and the Jurdan Sprint Table Test (JSTT) were performed under standard conditions and with lumbopelvic restriction using an external device for stabilisation and lumbar pressure control. All tests were video-recorded at 60 Hz and analysed using an automated anatomical landmark detection system. In the SJT, the Static Inter-Limb Opening Index was calculated, whilst in the JSTT the contralateral thigh elevation angle was analysed; in both tests, the change in lumbar pressure in relation to this variable was measured. The results showed that lumbopelvic restriction altered the participant’s angular configuration, reducing the angle of the tibia of the raised leg and the Static Inter-Limb Opening Index in the SJT, as well as the angle of the contralateral thigh in the JSTT. Furthermore, the JSTT produced increases in lumbar pressure that were significantly greater than those observed in the SJT, particularly in the dominant leg. In conclusion, the combination of a static and a dynamic hamstring mobility test with a simple measure of lumbar pressure provided complementary descriptive information on lumbopelvic behaviour in this case, although the study design does not allow for the establishment of causal relationships or the generalisation of the findings to other athletes.es_ES
