L'obra del claustre del convent de Sant Agustí d'Alcoi. L'evolució d'un espai

Abstract

És coneguda l'evolució de l'actual espai de la Plaça de Dins d'Alcoi a partir de l'antic claustre del convent de Sant Agustí, però a la llum de l'estudi de la documentació sobre l’obra del claustre i de les evidències materials presents a l'actual obra de la plaça, aquest article aprofundeix en el valor patrimonial del conjunt. Per altra banda, l'estudi reflecteix una història de la voluntat conservadora del municipi al voltant d'un antic monument i les implicacions socials darrere ella.
