Abstract:
Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado tiene como objetivo analizar el fenómeno global del K-pop, no
solo desde una perspectiva musical, sino también considerando su dimensión cultural,
mediática y social. Se ofrece una introducción general al origen y evolución del género,
destacando su expansión internacional y su impacto en la cultura popular contemporánea.
Posteriormente, el estudio se centra en el grupo surcoreano Tomorrow by Together (TXT)
como caso representativo de la nueva generación de idols. A través de este análisis, se
abordan temas como la construcción de la imagen pública de los artistas, el papel de las
agencias de entretenimiento, la relación con los fans y la influencia de los medios digitales.
Además, se examina cómo los miembros de TXT funcionan no solo como músicos, sino
también como actores, modelos e iconos culturales, lo que refleja la complejidad y
multidimensionalidad del fenómeno idol. El trabajo pretende ofrecer una visión global del
K-pop, entendiendo sus múltiples capas y su relevancia más allá del ámbito musical.
This Undergraduate Thesis aims to analyze the global phenomenon of K-pop, not only from a
musical perspective but also through its cultural, media, and social dimensions. It begins
with a general overview of the genre’s origins and evolution, highlighting its international
expansion and influence on contemporary popular culture. The study then focuses on the
South Korean group Tomorrow by Together (TXT) as a representative example of the new
generation of idols. Through this case study, topics such as artist image construction, the
role of entertainment agencies, fan engagement, and the impact of digital media are
explored. The analysis also considers how TXT members act not only as musicians but also as
actors, models and cultural icons, illustrating the complexity and multidimensional nature of
the idol phenomenon. This thesis aims to provide a comprehensive view of K-pop,
acknowledging its significance beyond the musical field.
