Equilibrio entre la ética y el espectáculo: evaluación crítica del True Crime en dos documentales españoles y propuesta deontológica.

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se centra en el análisis del género true crime desde una perspectiva ética, con el objetivo de determinar si estas narrativas aportan valor informativo o si caen en el sensacionalismo. Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo un análisis cualitativo de dos producciones audiovisuales concretas: ¿Dónde está Marta? y El caso Asunta. A través de distintos criterios como el tratamiento de la víctima, el enfoque narrativo o el grado de dramatización, se examina cómo se construyen estos relatos y qué implicaciones tienen. Los resultados muestran aciertos, pero también prácticas cuestionables que invitan a reflexionar sobre los límites éticos del género. Se concluye con una propuesta de principios éticos destinados a guiar la creación de futuros contenidos true crime que sean respetuosos, responsables y socialmente constructivos.

This Final Degree Project focuses on the analysis of the true crime genre from an ethical perspective, with the aim of determining whether these narratives provide informative value or fall into sensationalism. To achieve this, a qualitative analysis has been conducted on two specific audiovisual productions: ¿Dónde está Marta? and El caso Asunta. Using various criteria such as the treatment of the victim, narrative approach, and level of dramatization, the study examines how these stories are constructed and what implications they entail. The results reveal both strengths and questionable practices that prompt reflection on the ethical boundaries of the genre. The project concludes with a proposal of ethical principles intended to guide the creation of future true crime content that is respectful, responsible, and socially constructive.
