Variables involved in the success of drug treatment among juvenile offenders in Spain. Despite the large number of scientific studies dedicated to addressing drug use in juvenile offenders, currently, few studies have focused on evaluating the variables involved in their effectiveness. A longitudinal study with repeated measures was conducted with 46 adolescents who were serving a custodial sentence. All participants were male, with a mean age of 16.67 years (SD = 1.24). All of them had committed serious crimes, exhibited serious drug consumption problems, and had participated in the Educational and Therapeutic Intervention Program for Drug Use in Juvenile Offenders, cognitive-behavioral intervention based on the paradigm of positive psychology. A positive correlation was observed between treatment success and the absence of recurrence. Four predictive variables of therapeutic success were identified: educational attainment, internalization of the therapeutic program, risk in education and employment after detention, and risk related to peers after detention. The measurement model was significant, with high predictive power. The predictive capacity of antisocial behavior in therapeutic success is measured by the level of internalization of the treatment program and the level of family and social risk after their internment. The development of integral intervention plans results relevant, allowing not only to address problems associated with drug use but also understanding them as symptoms of a more complex reality
