“Nombres Propios”. Un recorrido sobre el periodismo musical español

Abstract

El periodismo especializado no pasa por sus mejores años, y mucho menos la parte cultural. Las cifras de gente que atiende a este nicho son cada vez menores. Su producción, en su gran mayoría digital, no recibe una compensación económica digna para el tratamiento de los hechos. Para entender pues, el oficio en su totalidad, poder explicar su evolución hasta este momento histórico, el impacto de la tecnología en su producción, la relación entre los agentes de la información y los artistas o la ética detrás de esto, tenemos que remontarnos a sus inicios, y trazar un recorrido a lo largo de su historia, vista desde los ojos de los mayores profesionales del campo cultural. Este reportaje pretende homenajear a los periodistas musicales más importantes de España, dándoles un hueco para que desarrollen y concluyan las mayores amenazas y fortalezas de la profesión.

Specialized journalism is not going through its best years, much less the cultural part. The number of people working in this niche is decreasing. Its production, mostly digital, does not receive a decent economic compensation for the treatment of the facts. To understand the profession in its entirety, to be able to explain its evolution up to this historical moment, the impact of technology on its production, the relationship between information agents and artists or the ethics behind it, we have to go back to its beginnings, and trace a journey through its history, seen from the eyes of the greatest professionals in the cultural field. This report aims to pay tribute to the most important music journalists in Spain, giving them a space to develop and conclude the greatest threats and strengths of the profession.
