Mathematics is fundamental in today's society, as mastery of basic numerical concepts is essential for economic development and the well-being of citizens. A lack of knowledge in basic mathematics is observed among students moving from primary to higher grades, which can generate high levels of math anxiety and difficulties in later educational stages related to STEAM careers. To include these students, the most effective methodologies are explicit instruction, the use of heuristics and different ways of studying the same concept, among others. The new Spanish educational law LOMLOE (Organic Law 3/2020, of December 29th, which modifies the Organic Law 2/2006, of May 3rd, on Education) includes in its key competences the digital competence so it is crucial to include ICT tools in education and, in particular, in the inclusion of these students. The use of the Issuu tool, applying the mentioned methodologies and adapting the concepts to the level of each of the students, will facilitate the understanding of the basic concepts, enhancing their mathematical level.
