Ventajas, desventajas y usos de ChatGTP en la educación. Una revisión sistemática

Abstract

La educación ha experimentado muchos cambios a lo largo de las últimas décadas y a dia de hoy nos encontramos en un momento donde las nuevas tecnologías como es ChatGPT, está revolucionando el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. El objetivo de este trabajo es explorar las ventajas y desventajas así como los usos que se le han dado hasta ahora, en el ámbito educativo tanto superior como universitario, a ChatGPT. Para ello, se ha realizado una revisión sistemática tipo descriptiva, elaborando el diagrama PRISMA con artículos indexados en la base de datos de Google Scholar. La búsqueda se ha llevado a cabo con los descriptores: chatgpt y educación. Usando en el proceso de búsqueda el conector “AND”. Tras aplicar una serie de criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se seleccionaron un total de 15 artículos que conforman la muestra. Se destacan diversas ventajas como son la mejora de la atención individualizada del alumnado entre otras. Aunque también se evidencian desventajas como la ausencia de interacción humana, el riesgo de sesgos o la falta de privacidad y seguridad. Algunos posibles usos son la creación de material didáctico o herramienta de apoyo para estudiante. Se concluye que existe un equilibrio entre las ventajas y desventajas de ChatGPT además de que son innegables los múltiples usos que se le pueden dar. Sin embargo, si vamos a utilizar dicha herramienta dentro del ámbito docente, es importante que su uso esté supervisado y controlado.

Education has undergone many changes over the past decades, and today we find ourselves in a moment where new technologies like ChatGPT are revolutionizing the teaching-learning process. The objective of this work is to explore the advantages and disadvantages, as well as the uses that have been given so far, in the educational field, both at the higher and university levels, to ChatGPT. To this end, a descriptive-type systematic review has been carried out, elaborating the PRISMA diagram with articles indexed in the Google Scholar database. The search was conducted using the descriptors: chatgpt and education, using the connector "AND" in the search process. After applying a series of inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of fifteen articles were selected that make up the sample. Various advantages are highlighted, such as the improvement of individualized student attention, among others. However, disadvantages are also evidenced, such as the absence of human interaction, the risk of biases, or the lack of privacy and security. Some possible uses include the creation of educational material or a support tool for students. It is concluded that there is a balance between the advantages and disadvantages of ChatGPT, and it is undeniable the multiple uses that can be given to it. However, it is necessary to control its use and ensure that everything comes from a reliable source.
