Dual Vocational Training has been established in Spain since 2013. With a progressive implementation in the educational system and with a long way to go, we are going to analyze its development, taking Denmark as a reference, where Dual Vocational Training is fully integrated and recognized. Moreover, it is a model in which great importance is given to the collaboration between educational centers and the labor market, ensuring high employability, competitiveness and adaptation to the needs of the business fabric. The aim of this work is a bibliographic review of the existing information. More than 2000 relevant articles have been located in google academic, of which we have filtered by the last 5 years to reduce the sample. Spain has historically a high rate of youth unemployment.This is a structural problem that Spain has had for decades. Dual Vocational Training is presented as a solution to improve youth employability and to have qualified workers that provide competitive value to Spanish companies. Consequently, it will improve the sustainability of the pension system and the economic independence of young people, among other issues. This literature review seeks to evaluate the evolution of vocational training in Spain and how it can improve business competitiveness and working conditions, taking Denmark as a model.
