The study addresses the growing problem of chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, dementia, and cancer, linked to the prevalent sedentary lifestyle from the age of 18, exacerbated by excessive use of electronic devices among children and adolescents. The study emphasizes the crucial role of physical education in promoting an active lifestyle from an early age, essential for preventing chronic diseases and improving quality of life. The results of the literature review indicate that regular physical activity is vital for the health and well-being of adolescents, highlighting the need for further research to better understand the beneficial mechanisms and to develop effective strategies to promote physical activity in this population. An educational intervention based on three pillars is proposed: diversity and fun in physical activities, cooperative methodology, and physical literacy. This strategy includes a variety of sports and activities, cooperative group learning, and informative sessions on the benefits of physical activity. Reviewed scientific literature suggests that participation in sports and regular physical activity during childhood and adolescence correlates with an active life in adulthood, reduced sedentary behavior, and improved physical condition. In conclusion, the study underscores the importance of physical education as a key tool to combat sedentary behavior and promote health among young people, proposing a practical and evidence-based approach to improve adherence to physical activity from an early age
