Actitudes y valores de los padres/madres en un equipo de fútbol base

Abstract

Investigación acerca de las actitudes y los valores de los padres y madres en un equipo de fútbol base de la categoría prebenjamín. El objetivo principal es analizar las actitudes y valores de los padres y madres de los deportistas de un equipo de fútbol base para conocer la percepción, las creencias y la manera de actuar que tienen ante el deporte practicado por sus hijos. Método: Participaron 33 sujetos, todos padres (51,5 %) o madres (48,5%) de un mismo equipo de fútbol. Resultados: Los resultados muestran que hay diferencias de medias estadísticamente significativas en las actitudes y comportamientos de los padres/madres en función de la importancia que dan a la victoria, de la percepción que tienen sobre la presión por el resultado a la que se somete a los niños y de la opinión que tienen sobre la transmisión de valores en el fútbol. Conclusiones: Estos hallazgos establecen que la relación deportiva de los padres/madres con el técnico y con su hijo y su interés y expectativas se ven afectados por la importancia que dan a la victoria; la participación del padre/madre en los partidos depende de la percepción sobre la presión por los resultados a la que están sometidos los niños, de la importancia dada a la victoria y de la opinión acerca de la transmisión de valores en el fútbol; esta opinión y la importancia dada a la victoria también influye en el nivel de implicación de los padres y madres.

Research on the attitudes and values of fathers and mothers in a football team in the pre-benjamin category. The main objective is to analyze the attitudes and values of the fathers and mothers of the athletes of a junior football team in order to know their perception, beliefs and the way they act in relation to the sport practiced by their children. Methods: 33 subjects participated, all fathers (51.5%) or mothers (48.5%) of the same football team. Results: Results show that there are statistically significant mean differences in the attitudes and behaviors of the parents according to the importance that each one gives to victory, the perception they have about the pressure for the result to which the children are subjected and the opinion they have about transmission in football. Conclusions:These findings establish that parents' sporting relationship with the coach and with their child and their interest and expectations are affected by the importance they give to winning; the parent's involvement in the matches depends on the perception about the pressure for results to which the children are subjected, the importance given to victory and the opinion about the transmission of values in football; this opinion also and the importance given to victory also influences the level of involvement of the parents.
