This final degree project is about a proposal for an intervention project for caregivers of adults over 65 years of age with some dependency in the municipality of Mutxamel, because currently this sector of the population has increased its life expectancy and with it their care needs. This need directly affects caregivers, specifically those who provide care informally, since they imply greater demands due to the profile that usually performs them. Specifically, performing care work involves living with the person being cared for, not having hours or remuneration, and not having the necessary training, among other characteristics Therefore, the caregiver will have their mental, physical and social health affected, suffering occupational injustice, since they will have to adapt their life by incorporating the new role of caregiver, also reducing their working hours, social participation, family conciliation, etc. All of this leads to an imbalance in their occupational performance, in addition to feeling alienated since it is not something they have chosen to do. Occupational Therapy proposes an intervention developed over 15 months divided into weekly, individual home and group sessions. During the sessions, the Journaling technique is used to analyze and evaluate their occupational performance, and thus provide them with the necessary tools to restore their occupational balance.
