Due to the considerable increase of alternative telecommuting arrangements in recent years, this work aims to study the impact of telecommuting on organizational commitment. A total of 23 articles were obtained through a bibliographic search of one scientific database. Once they were analysed, it is concluded that teleworking can have positive effects on organizational commitment if some aspects are considered, such as offering employees the possibility of choosing where to work from, providing them with quality technological resources, allocating two days a week to teleworking and that employees are young and have high work and family demands. In addition, teleworking limits interactions between coworkers, being the affective commitment the most affected, which may cause psychological or physical isolation in the worker. Finally, labor exhaustion acts as a mediator in the relationship between telework and organizational commitment.
