The purpose of this research is to analyze whether the fulfillment of the Psychological Contract or its breach causes employees to suffer more or less burnout in several eye clinics belonging to the same organization.
The main hypotheses predict that subjects who believe that the Psychological Contract has been fulfilled will not suffer burnout, while subjects who believe that the Psychological Contract has been breached will suffer burnout. As there are different ranks in the jobs, those with higher ranks will have the belief that the Psychological Contract has been fulfilled, so they will suffer less burnout, unlike those with a lower rank. The instruments used were the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and the Questionnaire on the perception of aspects related to work. The sample consisted of 63 participants, made up of 45 women and 18 men. For the statistical analysis, the Spearman test was used in the statistical program SPSS. The results showed that, although there are differences between the beliefs of the Psychological Contract between the different hierarchical levels, there is no difference in their burnout pressures.
