The present case study introduces the evaluation and intervention of a 42-year-old patient with anxiety symptoms, lack of assertiveness and self-esteem, alcohol abuse, expectations of rejection and concealment of her sexual orientation from the perspective of minority stress. The evaluation was carried out through a semi-structured interview, self- reports and various scales (Rathus Assertiveness Scale, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, SCL-90-R, Revised Self-Care Scale SCPS-R, and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory STAI) to the associated distress. Prior to treatment, a functional analysis was carried out with the aim of implementing an intervention adapted to the case. The treatment of choice was a hybrid of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) with a total of 17 sessions. The techniques of convenience were relaxation techniques, mindfulness, social skills training, behavioral experiments and problem solving techniques among others. Regarding the results, it is observed that there is efficacy of the individual intervention adapted to the needs of the patient for the symptoms associated with minority stress.
