Lo que la luz esconde

Abstract

Se ha creado un libro de artista como contenido conceptual de una amplia investigación, representada a través de un cubo de hierro con formas abiertas. En su interior contiene un mapa de papel de algodón plegado, en el que se muestran las doce localizaciones geográficas de éste proyecto, alrededor del mundo. El cubo representa la esencia de un proceso creativo de cuyo interior emana el contenido creado como síntesis final de un camino recorrido. Se han seleccionado doce lugares, señalados en el mapa, con el fin de identificar artistas emergentes en cada una de ellos y que sus obras generen un diálogo con diseños previamente creados de modo intuitivo sin conocimiento alguno de la selección, asociada con posterioridad al proyecto. Las expresiones artísticas de creadores emergentes en diferentes países se unen así al mundo del diseño representado por objetos funcionales, concretamente zapatos. Algo que nos acompaña en cualquier recorrido para el que sea necesario “andar” un camino. En este trabajo, del mismo modo que el hierro dialoga con el papel, siendo materiales aparentemente dispares, los trabajos de estos artistas, desde diferentes rincones del mundo, entablan una conversación armoniosa y fluida, participando todos de la misma energía. De ahí que, en idénticos planos de vibración el arte y el diseño confluyan y que el flujo emocional que ambos crean pueda ser entendido en cualquier parte o circunstancia, por tratarse de un lenguaje universal.

An artist´s book has been created as the conceptual content of an extensive research, represented through an iron cube with open forms. Inside it contains a folded cotton paper map showing the twelve geographical locations of this project around the world. The cube represents the essence of a creative process from inside which emanates the content created as a final synthesis of a journey. Twelve locations have been selected, marked on the map, with the aim of identifying emerging artists in each of them and that their works generate a dialogue with designs previously created intuitively without any knowledge of the selection, associated with the project. The artistic expressions of emerging creators in different countries thus join the world of design represented by functional objects, specifically shoes. Something that accompanies us on any journey for which it is necessary to “walk” a path. In this work, in the same way that iron dialogues with paper, being apparently disparate materials, the works of these artists, from different corners of the world, engage in a harmonious and fluid conversation, all participating in the same energy. Hence, on identical planes of vibration, art and design converge and the emotional flow that both create can be understood anywhere or in any circumstance, as it is a universal language.
