La víctima y el agresor: perfiles en la violencia de género

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como principal objetivo analizar los perfiles de víctima y agresor en la violencia de género ya que la mayoría de los estudios se han centrado en uno o en otro, pero no en un enfoque conjunto. La discriminación contra las mujeres es un problema que afecta a todos los países del mundo y, sobre esta discriminación se alimenta la desigualdad de género en el ámbito social, económico y familiar. Manifestación de esta segregación es la violencia de género, un maltrato que desgraciadamente va cada día in crecendo. Así, los datos anuales del Observatorio contra la Violencia de Género en el año 2022 arrojaron un incremento del 10,7% en el número de víctimas y un 11,8% en el número de denuncias con respecto al año 2021. Cuando se refiere a víctimas mortales los datos son más devastadores: solo en 2022, 49 mujeres fueron asesinadas en España y de este porcentaje solo el 43% había denunciado a su agresor. Desde que se empezaron a contabilizar las víctimas de esta violencia en enero de 2003, ya se asciende a la dramática cifra de 1182 mujeres asesinadas.

The main objective of this paper is to analyze the profiles of the victim and aggressor in gender violence, since most of the studies have focused on one or the other, but not on a joint approach. Discrimination against women is a problem that affects all countries in the world and, on this discrimination, gender inequality is fed in the social, economic and family spheres. Manifestation of this segregation is gender violence, an abuse that unfortunately is growing every day. Thus, the annual data from the Observatory against Gender Violence in 2022 showed an increase of 10.7% in the number of victims and 11.8% in the number of complaints compared to 2021. When referring to fatalities the data is more devastating: only in 2022, 49 women were murdered in Spain and of this percentage only 43% had denounced their attacker. Since the victims of this violence began to be counted in January 2003, there has already been a dramatic figure of 1,182 murdered women.
