Elche, Hércules y Eldense: Referencias sociales por encima de logros deportivos

Abstract

Este reportaje trata de hacer un análisis de una efeméride importante de la provincia a nivel deportivo: los centenarios de tres equipos de fútbol durante el transcurso de año 2022 y 2023. Hércules de Alicante, Elche CF y Club Deportivo Eldense han supuesto a nivel histórico, cultural y económico un pilar fundamental para sus respectivas ciudades. El fútbol ha sido un eje fundamental para vertebrar una sociedad desde principios del siglo XX hasta la actualidad. A través del análisis del contexto histórico en el que surgieron estos equipos, entrevistas con exjugadores, directivos, periodistas y diferentes gráficas visuales se podrá comprobar y comparar qué eventos se han realizado en Elda, Elche y Alicante respectivamente como celebración de este año tan especial. Además, en las líneas que componen este reportaje se plasma la situación actual de sendos clubes. Hércules y Elche han sido los referentes provinciales en el fútbol profesional a lo largo de estos cien años con 63 temporadas entre ambas entidades. Sin embargo, ambos clubes viven situaciones muy distintas: Elche en Primera, pero con el descenso a Segunda División como lastre y Hércules en Segunda de la Real Federación Española de Fútbol, la cuarta categoría nacional. Por otro lado, el Club Deportivo Eldense, que solo ha jugado 5 temporadas en Segunda División y ninguna en Primera, vive un momento dulce tras vivir dos ascensos consecutivos y luchando por el tercero para regresar a la categoría de plata 60 años después. Pese a que los tres clubes viven situaciones muy diferentes han tenido, tiene y tendrán una influencia a nivel provincial muy importante. El prestigio deportivo siempre ha estado presente en el panorama nacional con alguno de estos tres equipos llegando incluso a coincidir en la máxima categoría como Hércules y Elche. El fútbol, dentro de lo menos importante, es lo que más. Su importancia dentro de la sociedad alicantina como claros representantes de la provincia hace que estas tres entidades sean vitales para la promoción de sus localidades en todo el territorio nacional.

This report tries to make an analysis of an important event in the province at a sporting level: the centenaries of three football teams during the course of the year 2022 and 2023. Hércules de Alicante, Elche CF and Club Deportivo Eldense have been at a historical, cultural and economic level a fundamental pillar for their respective cities. Football has been a fundamental axis for the backbone of a society from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day. Through a small analysis of the historical context in which these teams emerged, interviews with ex-players, managers, journalists and different visual graphics, it will be possible to check and compare what events have taken place in Elda, Elche and Alicante respectively as a celebration of this special year. In addition, in the lines that make up this report, the current situation of both clubs is shown. Hercules and Elche have been the provincial benchmarks in professional football over the last 100 years, with 63 seasons between them. However, both clubs are in very different situations: Elche in the First Division, but in a complicated situation in the classification and Hercules in the RFEF Second Division, the fourth national category. On the other hand, Club Deportivo Eldense, which has only played five seasons in the Second Division and none in the First Division, is living a sweet moment after two consecutive promotions and fighting for the third one to return to the silver category 60 years later. Despite the fact that the three clubs live in very different situations, they have had, have and will have a very important influence at provincial level. The sporting prestige has always been present on the national scene with some of these three teams even coinciding in the highest category like Hercules and Elche. Football, among the least important, is the most important. And its role in Alicante society as well.
