Abstract

El análisis que se va a realizar pretende mostrar el crecimiento de la producción del género del true crime en las plataformas emergentes, así como los diferentes formatos en los que estos productos suelen presentarse. El punto de partida será la cuestión del interés que este tipo de contenido genera en la sociedad. Además, se intentará señalar el porqué de este interés mediante una mirada al pasado para poder situar el inicio del mismo en el tiempo. Se hablará, también, del aprovechamiento de las nuevas plataformas audiovisuales respecto a este interés y del papel de los medios tradicionales. Uno de los puntos más importantes a tratar será el debate social generado acerca de esta cuestión. Las primeras pinceladas se aportarán en el estado de la cuestión y se volverá a mencionar en algunos casos concretos cuando estos sean detallados. Se hará, también, una aproximación más directa a la sociedad actual a través de una encuesta en la que se lanzarán una serie de preguntas para clarificar esta incógnita y conocer de primera mano las diferentes opiniones existentes. Además de medir este impacto social mencionado, la meta del análisis es demostrar, mediante los datos proporcionados por las audiencias de las plataformas, que las producciones que muestran crímenes reales han aumentado, al igual que los usuarios que consumen este contenido. Para ello se utilizarán una serie de herramientas, además de las cifras proporcionadas por la prensa en algunos casos particulares.

The analysis that will be carried out aims to show the growth in the production of the true crime genre on emerging platforms, as well as the different formats in which these products are usually presented. The starting point will be the question of the interest that this type of content generates in society. In addition, an attempt will be made to indicate the reason for this interest through a look at the past in order to locate the beginning of it in time. The use of new audiovisual platforms in this regard and the role of traditional media will also be discussed. One of the most important points to be discussed will be the social debate generated around this issue. The first brushstrokes will be provided in the state of the question and will be mentioned again in some specific cases when they are detailed. A more direct approach to today's society will also be carried out through a survey in which a series of questions will be launched to clarify this unknown and to know first-hand the different existing opinions. In addition to measuring this aforementioned social impact, the objective of the analysis is to show, through the data provided by the audiences of the platforms, that the productions that show true crimes have increased, as have the users who consume this content. For this, a series of tools will be used, in addition to the figures provided by the press in some particular cases.
