El Elche de Christian Bragarnik: cuatro años, tres luces y una sombra

Abstract

Christian Bragarnik se convirtió, el 3 de diciembre del año 2019, en propietario del Elche CF. En el contexto del club, más allá de tener una nueva propiedad, se trataba de la primera vez que la entidad pasaba a ser dirigida por una persona de fuera de la ciudad. Los orígenes de Bragarnik en el mundo del fútbol se remontan a su mayor sueño, ser jugador, pero nunca pudo llegar a cumplirlo. No obstante, practicó su pasión de otra manera, empezando a recopilar jugadas de jugadores en vídeo y enviarlas a jugadores y representantes, a partir de lo cual comenzó a ganarse un nombre en su país. Su primer jugador representado fue Mariano Monrroy, a quien llevó al filial de Querétaro, en México, donde a la postre se quedaría en calidad de representante. Años más tarde, ayudó a llevar a la gloria a Defensa y Justicia, participando en calidad de asesor y aportando una cuantía económica, con ascensos de categoría llegando hasta la división más alta del fútbol argentino. Tras ello, le surgió la idea de dirigir un club en primera persona, algo que en Argentina no se puede hacer. Finalmente, tras sopesar varias ofertas, se hizo con la mayoría accionarial del Elche CF, entonces propiedad de José Sepulcre. Llegó con personas de su confianza de la mano y lleva tres años y medio en el club, habiendo conseguido un balance muy notable con un ascenso y dos permanencias, si bien es cierto que la temporada del centenario podría tildarse de fracaso y la cual ha hecho que las opiniones sobre su gestión se vuelvan más duras que nunca.

Christian Bragarnik became the owner of Elche CF on 3rd December 2019. In the context of the club, beyond having a new owner, it was the first time that the club had been managed by a foreigner person. Bragarnik's origins in the world of football go back to his biggest dream, to become a player, but he was never able to fulfill it. However, he practiced his passion in a different way, starting to collect players' moves on video and sending them to players and agents, from which he started to make a name for himself in his country. His first player he represented was Mariano Monrroy, whom he brought to Querétaro in Mexico, where he would eventually stay on as a representative. Years later, he helped lead Defensa y Justicia to glory, participating in an advisory capacity and contributing financially, with promotions to the highest division of Argentine football. After that, he had the idea of managing a club in the first person, something that is not possible in Argentina. Finally, after weighing up several offers, he took over the majority shareholding in Elche CF, then owned by José Sepulcre. He arrived with people he trusted by the hand and has been at the club for three and a half years, having achieved a very notable balance with one promotion and two relegations, although it is true that the centenary season could be described as a failure and which has made opinions about his management harsher than ever.
