Child-to-Parent Violence is a violent phenomenon that has experienced significant
growth in recent decades, as has its social interest. This problem has remained hidden
due to shame, guilt and fear of the consequences that could occur within the family, as
well as the pain that reporting these circumstances can cause. The main objective of
this systematic review was to examine the available evidence on family risk factors
associated with Child to Parent Violence. Consequently, a systematic search was
carried out, following the PRISMA statement, for which a series of inclusion and
exclusion criteria were established. The databases used were: PubMed, Dialnet, Web of
Science, and APA PsycInfo. In this way, 15 articles that met the inclusion criteria were
included. Finally, the results allow us to conclude that the authoritarian parental style,
exposure to violence in home and/or direct victimization, with the minor being assaulted
by their parents, problematic communication between parents and children, and poor
family cohesion, correlate with CPV.
