Así ha evolucionado la cantera del Elche

Abstract

Después de analizar a más de 30.000 futbolistas que han jugado desde 1958, en 2ªB (Actual 1ª RFEF), 2ª y 1ª División, en los equipos que se encuentran en el Top40 histórico de Primera División española. Se ha podido realizar el siguiente análisis. Durante algunos años, en los 60, la cantera del Elche fue un ejemplo a seguir para otros clubes españoles. Pero por diferentes circunstancias, como la crisis que tuvo el club por la construcción del estadio, la cantera se ha descuidado. En los últimos años apenas ha habido jugadores de la ciudad. Desde 1958 han jugado 67 ilicitanos en el primer equipo, que equivale al 8’27% del total, además 1 de cada 1.556 hombres ilicitanos ha jugado en el Elche. Estos datos son bajos si los comparamos con otros clubes como el Real Oviedo donde han jugado 102 ovetenses, es decir que 1 hombre de cada 958 ha jugado en el equipo de la ciudad. Además muchos ilicitanos han jugado en otros equipos de España 138 en total. Los clubes que más ilicitanos han tenido son el Hércules (11), Murcia (5), Sabadell (5) y Cádiz (5). Esos 138 son menos que en algunas de las ciudades que tienen habitantes parecidos a los de Elche. Oviedo ha tenido 227, Gijón 254 y Vitoria-Gasteiz 163. Los argentinos han sido muy importantes para el Elche, ya que ha sido el país que más extranjeros ha aportado al equipo con 60. Los primeros jugadores comenzaron a venir, después del primer ascenso del Elche a Primera División, gracias a un representante armenio que tenía gran cantidad de personas viendo ligas menores en Sudamérica. En la actualidad hay una gran cantidad de argentinos en el club, pero en el país únicamente se sigue al club para conocer las finanzas de Bragarnik, propietario del Elche.
