dc.description.abstract | Football is a mass phenomenon that over the decades has managed to attract a growing number of followers, to the point of establishing itself as the "King Sport" in most countries of the world. One of the key factors was globalization. The facilities in the dissemination of football at an international level were decisive in increasing interest in foreign championships, especially the five major European leagues. The purpose of this research is to appreciate how our football is seen outside the country itself and to know the importance given to it abroad, in this case in Italy. The possibility of observing it closely from another perspective is a great opportunity to broaden our vision about it. Sports information, mostly dominated by football, has carved out a significant niche for itself in the press, both in general and specialized newspapers. It’s for this reason that we have chosen La Gazzetta dello Sport as the object of study. It’s the sports newspaper of reference in Italy and even competes with other generalists for being number one in the country. From the analysis of this newspaper we can draw various conclusions about how Spanish football is treated in the Italian press. To carry out this study, throughout the work we will develop different variables that allow us to get an idea of how much importance is given to soccer of our country. Some general aspects that we will discover are the type of information, the space that they provide and the main topics that are reported. We will also review their social networks, specifically Twitter. | es_ES |
