La policia local como policia judicial

Abstract

A través del presente trabajo se ha llevado a cabo una revisión de las funciones reales de la policía local en el siglo XXI, centrándonos especialmente aquellas que se realizan como policía judicial. Para ello en primer lugar, se ha pretendido introducir al lector en el mundo legislativo que envuelve la policía y la seguridad ciudadana, nutriéndole con la definición y comparativa de las funciones que realizan los diferentes cuerpos policiales en España. He definido de manera clara y comprensible la policía y sus orígenes, la policía local y sus funciones y, posteriormente, me he centrado en la policía judicial, qué es exactamente, cuáles son sus cometidos y quienes forman parte de ella. En el último epígrafe, he profundizado en la responsabilidad que envuelve a los funcionarios policiales por las actuaciones que lleven a cabo en el ejercicio de sus funciones, desde los principios básicos de actuación, pasando por la responsabilidad disciplinaria y concluyendo por la responsabilidad penal.

Through this work we have carried out a review of the real functions of the local police in the 21st century, focusing especially on those that are carried out as judicial police. In order to do so, first of all, we have tried to introduce the reader to the legislative world that surrounds the police and public safety, providing a definition and comparison of the functions carried out by the different police forces in Spain. I have clearly and comprehensibly defined the police and their origins, the local police and their functions and, subsequently, I have focused on the judicial police, what exactly they are, what their duties are and who forms part of them. In the last section, I have delved into the responsibility of police officers for the actions they carry out in the exercise of their functions, from the basic principles of action, through disciplinary responsibility and ending with criminal responsibility.
