Historia y Evolución de la Criminalística en la Guardia Civil

Abstract

Este trabajo versa sobre la evolución que ha realizado el Cuerpo de la Guardia Civil en su forma de investigar los delitos desde su fundación para combatir el bandolerismo en 1844 hasta la actualidad. Se han relacionado de forma cronológica las diferentes herramientas jurídicas y los avances tecnológicos que la Guardia civil ha ido utilizando en criminalística, desde la dactiloscopia como primera disciplina, hasta los últimos resultados alcanzados con el estudio del ADN, habiendo dejado atrás los métodos de investigación que no eran los suficientemente provechosos para la realización de su trabajo.

This work deals with the evolution that the Civil Guard Corps has made in its way of investigating crimes since its foundation to combat banditry in 1844 to the present. The different legal tools and technological advances that the Civil Guard has been using in criminalistics have been listed chronologically, from fingerprinting as the first discipline, to the latest results achieved with the study of DNA, having left behind the research methods that they were not profitable enough to carry out their work.
