Prevención del abuso sexual en niños entre 3 y 6 años: una propuesta de intervención

Abstract

El abuso sexual infantil es una problemática que ha aumentado de forma muy alarmante en los últimos años. Dada la gravedad y las consecuencias que puede tener sobre los niños, se considera urgente intervenir. No obstante, no existen muchos programas que afronten este tema, y la mayoría de ellos, se centra en niños mayores de 6 años, por tanto, el presente estudio consiste en el diseño de una propuesta de intervención para prevenir el abuso sexual infantil en niños entre 3 y 6 años, para ser aplicado en un contexto escolar. Este programa consta de 11 sesiones, de las cuales, 7 son para los niños y las 4 sesiones restantes son para los padres, por considerarse un pilar fundamental en la prevención del abuso sexual infantil. Se espera que, tras la aplicación de este programa, los niños aumenten su conocimiento sobre reconocimiento de situaciones de riesgo de carácter sexual, aumenten sus habilidades de seguridad contra dichas situaciones, su conocimiento sobre sus derechos y su autoconocimiento. También se espera, que sus padres aumenten su conocimiento sobre abuso sexual infantil y sobre las pautas que guían un estilo de crianza respetuosa. Si el programa demuestra ser eficaz tras su aplicación, se dispondría de una herramienta para la prevención del abuso sexual que podría ser aplicada en otros colegios beneficiando a muchos menores y sus familias.

Child sexual abuse is an issue that has increased dramatically in recent years. Due to the importance of this matter and the consequences it may have on children; it is considered urgent to intervene. However, there are not many programs that deal with this issue, and most of them focus on children over the age of 6, therefore, the present study consists on the design of an intervention proposal to prevent child sexual abuse in children between the ages of 3 and 6 to be applied in a school context. This program consists on 11 sessions, 7 of which are for children and the remaining 4 are to be applied to parents, as they are considered a fundamental pillar on the prevention of child sexual abuse. It is expected that, after the application of this program, the children increase their knowledge about recognising risk situations of sexual nature, increase their safety skills against previously mentioned situations, and grow knowledge about their rights and self-knowledge. It is also expected that their parents increase their knowledge about child sexual abuse and about the guidelines to a respectful parenting style. If the program proves to be effective after its application, a tool for the prevention of sexual abuse would be available that could be applied in other schools, benefiting many minors and their families.
