Epidemiological surveillance is part of epidemiology as a discipline comprising the study of the health situation of populations, from the study of data on current health events to the management of strategies focused on prevention. Due to the current health situation resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, epidemiological surveillance has become even more important and is necessary to manage preventive and health promotion interventions. This research focuses on the analysis of these epidemiological surveillance tools implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic, applying as a methodological strategy the bibliographic review focused on the identification, characterization, and evaluation of the different epidemiological surveillance tools available in Spain. The short time that this epidemiological situation has been in force worldwide is recognized as a limitation, limiting the amount of information available. | es_ES |
