La innovación al servicio de la información sobre la crisis del Covid-19: el caso del RTVE Lab

Abstract

En esta investigación se analizarán todas las piezas de contenido audiovisual que el Laboratorio de Innovación de Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE) ha ido produciendo a lo largo de la crisis sanitaria del Covid-19. Durante el estado de alarma, el laboratorio ha realizado más de cien piezas diferentes, dentro de varios apartados que ha creado o adaptado a la situación. RTVE hace su función de servicio público para poder ayudar a los ciudadanos en un momento de crisis y facilitarles información de una manera simplificada y participativa, respondiendo las principales dudas del usuario. Por este motivo, este Trabajo de Fin de Grado analiza la producción del laboratorio de RTVE, un área de innovación audiovisual creado en 2011 por RTVE.es. El objetivo es conocer cómo ha desarrollado sus funciones y ha utilizado sus recursos en medio de una pandemia y qué tipo de piezas han creado. De esta manera, la investigación permite comprobar si RTVE cumple su función de servicio social al ser un medio de comunicación público y que además apuesta por la innovación. El estudio de caso se ha llevado a través de una descripción de las piezas creadas por el laboratorio en un período de tiempo dentro de la crisis sanitaria del COVID-19, y de una encuesta en la que han participado ochenta personas. Como resultados obtenidos, esta plataforma ha creado contenido innovador y cuenta con la participación del usuario, por lo que cumple la función de servicio público del medio.

This research will analyze all the pieces of audiovisual content that the Spanish Radiotelevision Innovation Laboratory has been producing throughout the Covid-19 health crisis. During the alarm state, the laboratory has made more than one hundred different pieces, within various sections created or adapted to the situation. The RTVE performs its function of public service in order to help citizens during the crisis and provide them with information in a simplified and participatory way, answering the main questions of the user. For this reason, this Final Degree Project analyzes the RTVE Laboratory, an audiovisual innovation area created in 2011 by RTVE.es. The objective is to know how it has used its functions and resources in the midst of a pandemic and what kind of pieces they have created. In consequence, the research makes it possible to check whether RTVE fulfills its social service function by being a public mean of communication and that if it is also committed to innovation. The case studied was carried out through a description of the pieces created by the Laboratory over a period of time within the COVID-19 health crisis, and a survey in which eighty people participated. As obtained results, this platform has created innovative content and has the participation of the user, so it fulfills the function of public service of the medium.
