The irruption of new technologies has caused a change not only in our lives but also in the
way we create content. One of the areas which have experienced variations is advertising,
incorporating new techniques such as audiovisual narratives in its strategies. In these
modifications, the user becomes the key piece of the puzzle when creating content and
establishing objectives, since the use of narratives favors the reach of the target audience or
audiences.
This new communication strategy is not only being incorporated in the private sphere, but
also in the public sphere, as it is the case of political institutions. Many governments have
decided to make use of audiovisual narratives in institutional campaigns to reach citizens
and thus achieve the desired objectives in advertising campaigns.
Therefore, in the following final degree project, these new strategies, based on the use of
audiovisual narratives will be analyzed, in which one of the main objectives is to activate the
emotions of consumers. In the case of our research, the analysis will take as a frame of
reference the institutional panorama and a current crisis situation: covid-19. We will try to
verify the effectiveness of the realization of this type of advertising strategies and if with it,
the desired objective is achieved among the citizens.
