The progress that journalism has experienced in the last few years has made possible the appearence of a new figure in charge of the corporate communication, with new ways to communicate and transfer the information. Inside the sports journalism and, in this case, the MotoGP World Champioship, the press officers represent this figure. These proffesionals dive right into the fight for these world titles, becoming part of the team. Working for a specific sport entity, as the teams from the different categories of the world cup often do, their role in the champhionship makes the communication for both journalists and press officers, as bearable as possible during the weekends.
With the contribution of diverse sports journalism experts and press officers of the champhionship, this work has the purpose of getting a more detailed view about this role. In addition, it shows the way in which both sides of the information in the MotoGP paddock coexist since, as result for the difference of interests that exist between the champhionship teams and the media, the press officers have the complex role of stepping in this kind of situations acting as an intermediary, trying to help directing and offering all the information that grows in the circuits.
