Sports journalism is a profession that has always been dominated by men and the space for women shone by its absence. Society doesn't accept that sports information is transmitted by a woman because it considers that she doesn't have enough knowledge or she isn't trained. This thought increases when we talk about football or basketball because women are associated with sweetness or fragility while men with strength and toughness. The doubts of society when a woman occupies a special position as a presenter, commentator or narrator, are present day to day. For this reason, gaining a niche in this profession, for women, isn´t easy because many times they are valued and treated differently than men. Stereotyped language or women's sexualization are still present in this job, which cause more differences between both genders. The fault about
that is who runs the social media. The Sports world is macho by nature and sports journalism too.
